Leader in public relations hires PR whiz kid

5W Public Relations of New York announced the addition of John Cpin as senior vice president on June 15. Cpin, raised in New Jersey, joins the agency’s corporate division after spending several years at BGR Group (formerly Barbour, Griffith & Rogers, LLC) where he spearheaded the communications efforts for all government and corporate accounts, including the US Polo Association, Republic of India, Kurdistan Regional Government, and DuPont.

Cpin previously held senior positions at Westin Rinehart Group, a boutique government relations and crisis communications firm in Washington, D.C., as well as positions with political campaigns and governmental agencies. He handled a range of client matters, including the California Health and Longevity Institute, The Peebles Corporation and American Management Services.

Cpin is a branding expert who specializes in corporate pr, crisis management, media relations and public affairs.  He is an accomplished PR professional who possesses extensive experience creating and implementing integrated communications campaigns that incorporate media relations, media strategy, special events, partnerships and social media.
